Meet Yarly

Well..... Hello!

Allow me to introduce myself in honor of my first blog post;

My name is Yarlette, I live in GA! I don't necessarily live in "the city," but I am there quite often! I'm a huge astrology girly, but for now, I'll just share that I'm a Virgo sun (a September one).

I'm not 30 yet, hint: I was born in '95... :)

I live with my mom, and I am not ashamed of this at all. She's my safe place.

I have a cat; his name is Mondry, and he is basically the king of the house. We adopted him in 2020.

I was inspired to create this blog by one of my favorite shows of all time, "Sex and the City." Even though I don't live nothing like the cast members of the show, I find them very relatable. So I thought to myself, maybe there are many women like me who are 30 (or almost there) that are breaking through social norms, still finding their own career path, not married, and have no kids. We fund our own lifestyle and certainly enjoy living comfortably.

So I thought to myself; why not share my stories, my experiences, and my self-discovery as I enter my 30s.

I have always been very attracted to creative careers. Fun fact: when I graduated high school, I wanted to enroll in journalism/photography, but I was very quickly discouraged by the opinions of others. Deep down, I still carry that passion to express myself to the world, share who I am with the world, and inspire others out there. Another fun fact about me is that I also wanted to become a lawyer. Now, I currently work as a machine operator (so opposite of what I truly have a gravitation towards). As I move into my more serious adult years, my career path has been a HUGE theme for me. I'd love to share how I feel and my journey of finding the proper direction for me. I don't think going into your 30s is too old to redirect your career path. (or any age really)

One more thing about me is that I'm very proud to say I'm Latina <3.

I don't know where I'm going, but follow me through this journey, and let me inspire you to express your ideas, thoughts, feelings, and experiences! You deserve to be heard and seen <3.
